      >> OPENING WORDS FROM THE EDITOR
      By Colin Vassallo, [Editor@...]

I had some confusion in the W-O FanBoard two days ago. I was looking to
convert all topics and users from the old board to the new board however
I was told I cannot. Some web searching later I found a cool script to
do this and it did it successfully. However new topics posted since the
board moved were deleted! Grrr. I guess that's what happens when you
don't read what's on the site and just press "next" "next" "next"!!! Now
everything is working fine at http://www.wrestling-online.com/boards/

Not much news today. Back tomorrow.

      > WWE SETTLES LAWSUIT WITH LEWMAR, INC.
      - The final chapter in the death of Owen Hart was closed yesterday as
World Wrestling Entertainment and Lewmar, Inc., - makers of the harness
and equipment which was used on Owen Hart in 1999 - reached a deal and
settled out of court. The judge placed a gag order on both parties to
keep them from talking about the settlement in public. Jurors
interviewed outside the courthouse said that they called for Lewmar to
pay WWE $9 million, half of what WWE paid to the Hart family to settle
their case. After the case was over, jurors got their checks from the
judge and met with the lawyers of both parties before posing for some
pictures. One of the jurors was later seen getting an autograph from
Linda McMahon, who was present during the whole trial as WWE's corporate
representative. The Kansas City Star newspaper has an article online
      about this at
      http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/business/6899933.htm .

      > ANGLE TALKS ABOUT HIS DECEASED SISTER
      - WWE.COM has a story about Kurt Angle where the former champion talks
about his sister, who passed away two weeks ago at the age of 43. Angle
points out that his sister died just one day before his 60 minute Iron
Man match against Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon gave Angle the option
not to compete due to the situation. However Angle said that his sister
would've wanted him to be there and he ended up having one of the best
matches of his career. You can read the whole article at
      http://www.wwe.com/news/headlines/1231835

      > STOCKS
      - Stocks closed the day at 10.60, a 5.79% increase over the previous
      closing. The day's range was 10.02 - 10.60.

      > LITA, GOLDBERG ON BYTE THIS!
      - The returning Lita and the World Heavyweight champion Goldberg are
going to be the guests tomorrow afternoon on WWE's Byte This! Fans who
want to ask a question via e-mail can do so by sending a mail to
      bytethis@... or else call on (888) 548-3993 between 4PM and 5PM EST.

      >> RAW TAWK
      By Ginger, [GLRSS@...]

Hey, RAW Tawkers! I hope you're having a great week so far. . .I know
*I* am! You see, I have the week off! Not that I'm relaxing or
anything. . .I have more than enough to do around the house. . .but it's
still better than schlepping off to the office! Don't be *too*
jealous of me, though. I might offer to put you to work!

Now, before we get to the RAW Tawk, some Heat notes. . .

I'll bet Val Venis was relieved when he found out he was facing Stevie
      Richards instead of Rico again!

God bless Al and Coach! A lot of you may not like them, but they are
down with Auntie G! If you need proof, you need look no further
than your tape of last week's edition of Stevie Night Heat! Not only
did they relentlessly joke about the hair of Rico's opponent, Arch
Kincade (Seriously, you should have seen the guy! He looked like a
frickin' quail or something!), but Al also made some astute
observations regarding the combatants' ring gear. I feel the love,
      guys. Right back atcha! :)

I did have to question Al on one point, though. It seems the announce
team is intent on reminding the viewing audience that Rico isn't
*really* gay. They continuously reiterated what anyone who watches
Confidential already knows - Rico is a former bodyguard, police
officer, and he's a black belt in Karate. Excuse me, but are you saying
you can't do or be any of those things if you're gay? I'd sure hate
to see you guys attacked by a bunch of homosexual, black-belt police
officers! (By the way, you forgot: Rico was an American Gladiator,
      too!)

OH MY GOD!!! **CROWBAR!!!** I was so surprised and excited to see him
that I literally SCREAMED his name. . . Ironically, I sounded
just like Daffney Unger when I did it! :D

Now it's time for RAW and. . . Did Al Snow cut his hair?!?

Well, at least Jericho hasn't cut *his*! And it was looking
particularly spiffy in his old "Lionheart" style!

It was also nice to see the Highlight Reel set repaired and looking as
good as new! At least until Austin got at it again!

He did! Al got a haircut! It looks nice, though.

I have a riddle for you:

How many Super Heroes does it take to save a little kid from a big, red
      monster?

Answer: 1 1/2! (One super hero and one Super Hero In Training!)

Triple H has offered $100,000 to any person who can put Goldberg "On the
Shelf." Makes me want to run right out and see Quentin
Tarantino's "Kill Bill" as soon as it opens!

J.R.'s back, sweating all over the play-by-play announcer's chair. Yee
      frickin' haw!

"Puppies are back?" Um, I don't think they ever *went* anywhere, we
just didn't have to hear about it for the last couple of weeks!

You know, I just realized. . .if Rosey turned heel and assaulted a
member of the audience, they could actually say on television, "The
      S.H.I.T. has hit a fan!"

Did J.R. call the match between Ric Flair/Randy Orton and Goldberg/Shawn
Michaels a "Tag team main event?" Hmmmmmm. I
thought the last match of the evening was the main event. But, what do
      *I* know. . .?

I don't have a Masters in Theology or anything, but isn't putting HBK's
initials in a Jesus fish kind of BLASPHEMY?

Ladder matches. . .I love to hate, hate to love 'em! They're always
exciting, but they almost cause me pain to watch. A tad less pain
than the participants though, I'd imagine. As much as I love Christian
and as proud as I am to call myself a "Peep," I have to
congratulate RVD on his IC Title victory! Awesome match, guys!

Well, that's my break. I don't have "Dear Auntie Ginger" posted yet
(hopefully tomorrow!), but my hamster is BEGGING me to clean her
cage, so I guess it's time for me to get back to work. See ya next
week! Until then, be sure to visit TheRingPost.com and check out the
