WPMC is pleased to be a sponsor of "Intimate Science," an Exhibition to be held at the Miller Gallery on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University from January 21 through March 4, 2012.

One of the artists is Philip Ross of San Francisco, who uses fungi as a medium for sculptures and structures ("mycotecture"). He is currently experimenting with using reishi mushrooms as a sustainable construction material.

The Exhibition is free and open to the public, along with three events on Friday, January 20: A lecture by Phil Ross and another artist from noon to 2:00 p.m.; an Exhibition tour with the Curator and artists at 5:00 p.m.; and a Reception from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
