[ANN] UltraClip 3.1
- Gives WordPerfect a text glossary, supporting any number of entries with each containing any amount of text. Version 3.0 was a complete rewrite: simpler and faster, with more date/time codes. 3.1 is faster yet, actually much faster. Runs in Sheepshaver emulators, OSX Classic, and Legacy systems.
A glossary can, depending on how you work, be an especially valuable tool. For that reason this is probably the most useful Applescript I've written for WP. It saves time for even very small amounts of text, such as a return address and date at the top of a letter. It can save a lot of time if you create documents with much standard text. Accuracy benefits too.
A lot of work has been put into making this version as fast as possible. Pasting a clip is instantaneous.
More convenient too. Copying no longer opens the clip folder to show you the new clip; a dialog informs you the clip has been created, and dismisses itself after two seconds. Ultraclip Copy makes an alias to the SimpleText program, placing that in the clip folder, to make editing clips easier, relative to TextEdit (uses Unix line feeds, garbling WordPerfect) or editing clips in WP (saving as text takes too long).
Installation is a snap and, after using the program for a week, you might find it very helpful.
Free, in the Files section here, as "UltraClip 3.1".
