The question has come up as to whether or not the commandments of
Kashrut (Kosher laws) apply to medication as well as food.

Now it is easy to demonstrate that the Sabbath has greater weight
      than the Kashrut.

How do we know this? The penalty for violating the commandments of
Kashrut is simply a state of uncleanness until evening, but the
penalty for violating the Sabbath was death.

Now we know that the Sabbath is loosed by reason of a persons health
      or life.

Now if the Sabbath is loosed by reason of a persons life or health,
then how much more so the Kashrut (which has less weight than the
Sabbath) must be loosed in a matter of life or health.
