Wildlife rehab. Sharing of information on the care of orphaned, injured or sick wildlife in captivity. Care of unwanted exotic pets and non-releaseable wildlife as well. The focus is animal welfare, NOT animal rights, therefor please do not pass judement on people who keep non-domestic animals as pets. It is better to provide them with the information to properly care for the animals, then offend them, since they would not be on the list asking for help if they did not care about the animals in their care. Be aware that the word 'rehab' may mean different things to different people, anything from returning injured wildlife to the wild to 'retraining' an abused exotic pet to accept people again as a pet to helping a non-domestic animal cope with a disability that causes the animal to be non-releaseable. Note: Domestic ferrets, domestic skunks, domestic ranch mink and foxes or animals bred for more then 3 generations in captivity are not wild animals as defined by the USDA, thus try to keep the topic to the rehab of animals from the wild or less then 3 generations removed.
