      WISCONSIN (WAOW) -- Wolf attacks can be worrisome for hunters, farmers
      and pet owners across the state. Now, you can sign up for an alert any
      time a wolf attacks.

      The alert will be sent to a subscriber's e-mail or wireless account and
      will include a link to where the attack happened and a caution map based
      on the location.

      Department of Natural Resources leaders say they'll post new alerts as
      soon as an attack is confirmed in the state.

      Wisconsin's gray wolf population was estimated around 690 to 733 last
      winter. That's a 10% increase from the year before.
