Reports into Director of Marketing
The Shopper Marketing Manager role is to extend brand strategy and activation platforms down to field level and develop Shopper Marketing plans, in tandem with strategic customers, to drive profitable volume and equity of Firm's brands. The person in this position will need to take a lead role in identifying and presenting new opportunities to Customer Development, Marketing and customers.

Develop and execute world-class integrated and collaborative Shopper
Marketing Plans at key focus customers. Main focus will be on
developing cross portfolio solution events that leverage the power
of Firm These events should drive category growth, promote cross-
category conversion & be profitable for both Firm & their customers.
Responsible for all field based programs from start to finish
including annual planning, writing agency briefs, customer
presentations, overall agency guidance, creative reviews and program
Develop strong relationships w/key customer Marketing Departments
and Customer Teams to deliver against their brand/portfolio
Holds routine status meetings and disseminates progress reports to
key personnel including Customer/Bs Develop Dirs, Bs Develop Mgrs,
Customer Bs Mgrs, Brand Building Dirs/Mgrs & the Integrated Dir of
Regularly communicate between Shopper Mkting Field, Category teams &
agency partners to develop programs, share best practices, execute
post event analysis, & make recommendations for future program
Maintains budget and timely flow of reports, project estimates,
contracts and invoices between internal and external partners.
Provide point-of-view on appropriate spending against retailer co-op
Manage agency partners ensuring that they are delivering on
requirements outlined in briefs and effectively delivering on all
account management responsibilities (i.e. program & financial
Primary responsibility will be Northeast Grocery customer.
Challenges - ensuring that the events are fully consumer/shopper centric programs that leverage the equity of the brands & also meet the objectives of the retailer. - quantifying the value of these programs to their customers, sales & mktg teams. Key concentration should be on: growing the category, category conversion & profitable growth for both the Firm & their customers.
Undergraduate degree in Marketing, MBA a plus.
3 years exp in development of brand business objectives & marketing
strategies; 5-7 years exp in marketing.
Working expertise within consumer packaged goods industry, retail
and account specific marketing.
Understanding of promotional tactics, process flow, execution and
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Working exp of syndicated data (i.e. Nielsen, Spectra). Exp in
digital mktg & consumer behavior in this space
Highly organized, able to multi task and communicate with numerous
Shopper Marketing plan responsibility will support a budget to drive the Northeast businesses, inclusive of developing plans that are reflective of in-store, out-of-store and digital programming.
Interaction and relationship building will take place with Brand Building (approximately 100 people), Customer Development (approximately 30 people), Shopper Insights (2 people), Agency (6 people) and retailer merchandising and marketing teams.
