      Business Insights Data Analyst

      Who you are:

      You are excited to work in the world of Advertising and Ecommerce and have
      been doing it for a few years. A planner by nature you use technology to
      empower your daily life, so this job is really a reflection of yourself. You
      probably even keep your personal/family budget on a spreadsheet on your home

      What you'll do:

      Reporting to the Planning Director {Analytics}, the newly created position
      of Business Insights Analyst will play an integral role in the development
      of reporting and analysis for the Planning & Interactive teams. To be
      successful, you will be a creative problem solver using research, data and
      common sense to deliver meaningful analytics reports under rigorous delivery
      time-lines and client expectations.


      q Develop dashboard reports, as Analytics services are on-boarded to new
      clients as well as perform ad-hoc analyses of Internet publisher data and
      client website data as needed

      q Works with 3rd party web analytics application service providers (DART,
      Atlas, Webtrends, Omniture, hitbox)

      q Assist Planning Director with pre-planning research and related
      pre-campaign needs including defining appropriate reporting metrics,
      customer segmentation, competitor analysis, research in analytical tools and
      site metrics

      q Works across internal teams, business units and with external clients to
      develop and deliver analytics solutions; ad-hoc client requests, customer
      segmentation, retention analysis, lifetime value analysis, customer
      profiling, and market research.

      Required Skills:

      q Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics or Ecommerce.
      Some course work in advertising, finance or database marketing

      q 3-5 years experience in Online Retail/eCommerce, Advertising, and

      q Experience working with and uses Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL Server

      q Have cultivated an attitude of personal accountability

      q Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast paced dynamic results driven

      q Commitment to learning and bringing solutions

      q Communicates complex subject matter clearly, either orally or in written

      q Sense of humor
