      Nordstrom is looking for someone who understands how to swim through
      all that data and translate it in to meaningful information. This
      job is a little broader in scope then just web analytics, but I
      think a few of you out there might be interested. If you are

      Summary

      This position is designed to help understand the multi-channel
      relationship between Nordstrom Customers and marketing tactics and
      strategies

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Explore the interaction between customer behavior, merchandise
      purchase preferences, channel loyalty, new market penetration, and
      integration with customer touch-points

      • Fully understand the Nordstrom customer behavior – particularly
      the multi-channel relationship between online visitation and retail
      purchasing behavior.

      • Extract information from Nordstrom's customer knowledge warehouse,
      converting information into actionable findings using SAS and SQL

      • Communicate and present high-level findings to senior management
      teams

      Required Skills and Abilities:

      Bachelor's degree preferably in business, finance, finance, computer
      science, actuarial science or statistics.
      5+ Years of Business Experience
      Advanced level of proficiency with SQL.
      Experience in programming packages (SAS, SPSS, ACCESS, Visual
      Basic) / data processing languages.

      Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

      Ability to manage concurrent projects at different stages of
      completion.
      Perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to
      detail.
      Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
      Ability to be flexible and deal with changing priorities and
      timelines/due dates.

      Desired Skills and Experience:

      Experience in multi-channel customer analysis, particularly in the
      retail industry
      Financial skills; market research and trend analysis/forecasting
      3 years of direct marketing, database applications, project
      management, quantitative and analytical marketing experience.
