      I. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

      This position is responsible for development of effective search engine
      optimization and search engine marketing strategies and tactics to
      impact customer acquisition and monetization for weather.com and related
      interactive products (forgetaway.com, mobile, desktop,
      international...). This person will be the thought leader in this space
      and need to stay abreast of industry changes to search algorithms,
      industry accepted competitive strategies for SEO, SEM. Sole
      responsibility of interfacing with product/technical resources at top
      and second tier search companies (google, yahoo, ask.com...) This
      person will also have the responsibility of ensuring strategies are
      implemented at the tactical level and that they produce results. This
      person will work cohesively with TWCi product team members as well as
      marketing counterparts. This person's full time job will be staying on
      top of search so that TWCi is looked to as a leader in this category.
      Search will extend beyond the web site to leveraging partner assets, RSS
      feeds, video and other cutting edge developments in this space. This
      position must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and
      through written word. Management including executive team will need to
      understand both our strategy and where we are against that strategy.
      Must be able to develop effective communication tools that will
      highlight to teams and management how we are doing towards a goal. Must
      be able to set realistic goals for themselves and for the company.



      II. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

      - Develop and execute search optimization and URL strategy

      - Develop operational plan (goals, metrics, benchmarks) across
      weather.com (and other properties) to achieve measurable results within
      accepted SEO best practices

      - Work to educate product managers, creative and technical
      teams on SEO best practices and tactics

      - Provide strategic direction to agencies, internal teams in
      order to develop and optimize SEO efforts

      - Track, analyze and report on effectiveness of SEO projects

      - Manage and optimize pay-per-click search marketing media buys
      through agency or directly with search engine companies depending on
      strategy at the time. Must understand and have working knowledge of how
      to use pay-per-click systems.

      - Understand competition and formulate strategies to maintain
      or gain competitive advantage through effective search marketing efforts

      - Analyze data from various customer tracking systems to
      determine characteristics and preferences of most valuable users, as
      well as provide recommendations for acquiring more of these consumers
      through search marketing



      III. QUALIFICATIONS

      - KNOWLEDGE

      - Detailed understanding and hands on experience with both of
      search marketing (SEM) and site optimization (SEO)

      - Strong strategic thinking experience required

      - 4+ years of progressively complex marketing experience

      - BA required, MBA a plus

      - Experience with video and mobile optimization a plus

      marketing/promotional plans

      - Able to proactively develop and execute marketing plans based
      on key initiatives set by the company
