successful candidate to be based out of Silicon Valley/San Francisco but

HPDirect.com Web Analytics Senior Manager HPDirect.com is HP's B2C
eCommerce organization which is #17 on the Internet Retailer Top500.
It is a fully integrated Manufacturer direct online website and is the
only place where HP customers can buy custom configured HP PCs to their
exact specifications. Within HPDirect.com the Planning & Analytics
team is a multi-disciplinary team specializing in all kinds of advanced
analytics including data mining & predictive modeling, reporting &
business intelligence, business research, data management, and
optimization & simulation solutions. The team has an excellent mix of
experienced professionals with strong analytics and business consulting
backgrounds who are driven by a passion to draw business inference from
external and internal data while delivering actionable insights that
helps optimize the overall business. Job Description We are currently
seeking a talented Senior Web Analyst to support the HPDirect.com
online eCommerce store. The selected candidate will be responsible for
developing, implementing, and using the solutions used to evaluate the
digital sales, support, and lead generation activities within
HPDirect.com. They will support all aspects of online analytics
including Testing (A/B & MVT), clickstream analysis, search analysis,
conversion analysis, cross-sell/up-sell analysis, etc. The person will
also be expected to partner with other stakeholder groups including
Marketing, Website Experience, Product Merchandising, and IT as well as
industry experts outside the company to ensure that best practices in
metrics and decision making are being exposed to HPDirect.com
management and core decision makers. Key Responsibilities
* Identify tracking and reporting gaps and develop solutions that
enable us to meet business goals.
* Build reporting utilities, management reports, spreadsheet models
and ad-hoc queries to support business analysis.
* Ensures solutions are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet the
expectations of the business partner.
* Develop and perform holistic, complex analyses that incorporate
multiple sources of data and include insights and recommendations
(Excel, BI tools, clickstream behavioral analytics, Survey attitudinal
analytics, and qualitative data).
* Drive core insights from the data to suggest, create, and execute
Multivariate or A/B tests to drive fundamental changes to the site
* Use SQL or other querying skills to query relevant data warehouses
to analyze visitor behavior.
* Work with HP.com team and lead web analytics technical
implementations from initial idea to valid data.
* Create and deliver effective, persuasive verbal and written
presentations for business leaders.
* Help drive change efforts to implement solutions, including the
associated culture changes.
* Lead workshops or learning sessions focused on teaching analysis,
web analytics, web testing and other technical concepts and help further
the web analytics domain within HPDirect.com.
