- Dec 5, 2007I learned today that Omniture does have the ability to pass VISTA information into Discover, Data Warehouse and Data Feeds, so I wanted to retract my criticisms about that tool. And I didn't mean to diss Omniture's Professional Services team as being an ugly step-sister to Omniture's other offerings. They do provide lots of value added services; stuff that would be very difficult or impossible to code yourself on your website. Plus they can create new reports in SiteCatalyst that you can't get otherwise, such as trended pathing or custom time-spent on page reports. When you've got those kinds of options, I hate to think of somebody burning a VISTA rule just to copy a prop value to an evar, etc.

... I may be operating under old information here-but even if Omniture has addressed some of those issues with VISTA, it's still the ugly step-sister to sending the right data in the first place.
