      Hi, I've been using webalizer over the past few months for various
      clients and I have used a variety of log analyzers over the years. On
      my own servers, I have been using a customized combined log format
      that looks much closer to all the other system logs and makes alot
      more sense to me and my customers. I would like to use webalizer on
      my own servers, mainly since it does what I need, it is fast, and
      it's already included in several linux distributions. Looking through
      the docs and the newsgroups, I see alot of people asking about the
      log format and or running conversion programs/scripts to convert logs
      to something readable by webalizer. Webalizer currently cannot read
      my combined logs which I currently have approx 2 years worth. Though
      I do not really need to have it analyze the last two years for me, I
      want to get it running on my system without generating secondary
      massive log files. Well, I guess I have two questions here, 1. Does
      it currently or will Webalizer (in a soon to be released future
      version) accept a log file definition? (hopefully along the lines of
      the combined_log format line in httpd.conf) and 2. Does anyone know
      of some conversion scripts I can run against my customized apache
      combined log files or should I start to write my own? (and further
      delay getting the webalizer stats online)

      futher info for anyone interested;

      customized combined log format;
      LogFormat "%t %v \"%{Referer}i -> %U\" \"%r\" %>s %B %T # %h (%a) %l %
      u \"%{User-Agent}i\"" combined

      a few sample lines;
