RE: [webalizer] Re: Authorization Access
- ok in that case, you can set this up, by
clicking on the permissions wizard in the webalizer site.... and adding the
people who are permitted to access the site to this list, then click on the
properties for the site, and set the security level for access to the level
you require. I normally use, windows authentication/secure authentication,
this will then not allow the site to be opened unless they have a profile
for the use of that site
you can set up a database, and login form, for the sites, and create a php
script or asp so that cusotmers can add/delete their own permitted users.
set this up so that the pages will not be shown, unless they are authorised
in the database.
does this help

Subject: [webalizer] Re: Authorization Access
I want to setup webalizer report in my site so some people who know
the address can access to the site through the Intenet. But same
time, I don't want let everybody access to the site. My webalizer
generated html page into a folder called report in IIS4.0
So, if I go www.weblizer.com/report then I should see the weblizer
report page but at that time I want to see a little windows pops up
and waiting for User ID and Password, so just people who know/have
the ID and password can access the page.
Is this called htaccess (at least linux side)?
I have Win2k with IIS 5 as a test PC and whenever it will move to
NT40 with IIS4.0 as a real web server.
