      Hello:

As far as I know, webalizer counts like this:

Hits: Every single petition of a file.

Files: All hits, except those answered with "not
changed", "not found" (and maybe "redirected")

Pages: All hits that have an extension defined with
      "PageType" in webalizer.conf.

Visits: Unique IPs making hits to the server. If a
single IP takes longer than 30 minutes between hits,
it will be counted as a new visit.

You should look at webalizer.conf, and see how many
extensions you have defined in PageType. If your
website is composed of many images (.gif, .jpg), or of
perl pages (.pl) or flash (.swf), then you will have
many little pages in the stats, because those are not
      defined as pages in webalizer.conf.

You (probably) need to add PageType entries in
webalizer.conf. Look at the Top Urls list, to see what
      extensions are being requested more.
