      hi all
      i'm running apache 1.3.27 on freebsd RELENG_4_8
webalizer v.2.01-10 installed from freebsd ports

webalizer was working just fine until i placed this webserver behind another
freebsd box running ipfilter/ipnat, which acts as a firewall/gateway.

the original ip address of the webserver is now aliased to the external nic on
the gateway machine. webalizer now doesn't seem to be working, probably
having to do with the fact that the webserver's nic now has an internal lan ip
of 192.168.1.50, which gets nat translated to the public ip of the webserver at
      the gateway

i've been advised that i can get around this by running webalizer as
'webazolver' and letting it resolve hostnames

i've been trying to run webazolver

      cd /usr/local/www/data/webalizer
      webazolver /var/log/httpd-access.log
      it gives me the message
      Webalizer V2.01-10 (FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE) English
      Using logfile /var/log/httpd-access.log (clf)
      No cache file specified, aborting...

i know you specify the dns cache file with the -D option, but i'm not entir=
ely sure which file to specify as the dns cache file.=20

am i going about this the right way? i'd really like to get webalizer going
again through the gateway... any advice would be appreciated

      thanks
