Marion N. Borst
Campus Security/Special Education Liaison
Marion comes from West Contra Costa Unified School District where
she was a Vice-Principal at Juan Crespi Middle School. She taught
Beginning Art, Advanced Art, Sculpture, Crafts, and Humanities for 6
years at San Lorenzo High School. Prior to teaching she worked in
the private sector in the insurance business. She graduated from San
Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in fine arts. She
received a Masters of Arts in Educational Administration in 2000.
Marion is active in the art community in the bay area and still has
an artist studio where she works on her paintings.
This year Marion is responsible for Campus Security and works
closely with the School Resource Officers and campus supervisors to
maintain a safe environment here at Liberty. She also oversees
several after school activities throughout the year such as: Back to
School, Achievement Night Assembly, and Open House. Marion sees to
the Special Educational needs of our Liberty students on campus and
ensures that needs are meet. Students with the last name of A-D
would see her for discipline and attendance issues.
This is the Asst. Principal when my son received death threats for
three months and told a therapist a teacher had no time to fill out
assessment form, and my son had no social issues and "we are more
worried about the parent suing for accomodation" than my son's
welfare. I received the form back not only completed but then all
remarks were covered with white-out. I still have said copy, by the
way. Lovely how our districts communicate with one another isn't it?
