      >School Site Council Trainings Scheduled October 4-November 1

      >Richmond, Calif. - The West Contra Costa Unified School District
      >Communications and Community Engagement Department is providing a series
      >of 13 School Site Council (SSC) training sessions. The training sessions,
      >which are mandatory for all 62 WCCUSD schools, will be held October 4
      >through November 1 at various locations throughout the district, and will
      >be led by Community Engagement Coordinator Marin Trujillo.

      >The sessions will cover the roles and responsibilities of school site
      >councils, and while they are designed for school site council members,
      >they are open to the public. Anyone who is interested in understanding the
      >purpose of school site councils and how they work may attend any training
      >session. Water and fruit will be provided as light refreshments.

      >All 62 district schools have been assigned a specific training date (see
      >below), but SSC team members may attend any of the 13 training sessions if
