      TechFutures Gets the Ball Rolling at Intel Clubhouses

      For Immediate Release: July 8, 2005

      El Cerrito, CA /TFNewswire/ --A $75,000 grant from the Intel Corporation
      provided 15 internship positions for TechFutures students who wasted no
      time Getting the Ball Rolling at three Clubhouses around the Bay Area in
      San Francisco, Oakland, and Hayward. The TechFutures Summer 2005 Intel
      Clubhouse program is led by Oscar Mendoza and Jarele Brickley, the two
      Clubhouse Lead Program Managers who are 2004 graduates of TechFutures and
      KHS. They worked diligently to match the needs of the Clubhouses with the
      skill sets of the interns in placing students at the three Intel Clubhouses
      located in San Francisco, Oakland and Hayward. Mendoza and Brickley also
      help to ensure that time spent at the Clubhouses becomes a lifetime
      experience which could propel both the interns and the Clubhouse members
      into the IT workforce of the future.

      Each Intern, using the skills they learned to the best of their abilities
      at TechFutures, will help each clubhouse function at its optimum
      potential. All interns are eager and willing to take on this task full
      force. Several workshops will be held by the TechFutures interns this
      summer where Clubhouse members will have the opportunity to engage in
      learning to design web pages, general design skills, simple animations, 3D
      animations, video and photography production. Interns will also assist in
      managing clubhouse networks and designing database applications.

      TechFutures is a two-year advanced technology training and jobs program
      whose mission is to train at-risk high school youth in cutting-edge
      internet applications to make them employable in high paying jobs in
