The Richmond City Council public safety committee will hold a special
session at 10 a.m. Thursday to hear from the public on a proposed
continuation high school in the Hilltop area.
"Many of the citizens are very concerned about gang activity and
other matters, and rightfully so," said Vice Mayor Richard Griffin,
who sits on the committee.
The West Contra Costa school district is planning to combine Gompers
and North Campus high schools onto a single location at a campus
called Vista Hills.
The committee meeting will be held in the council chambers at City
Hall South, 1401 Marina Way South
