Re: [wccusdtalk] KEEP THE PRESSURE ON--BOARD MEETING TONIGHT
- Thank you Laura. We can't give up, even if they do not vote tonight to reinstate class size reduction and the counselors.

Subject: [wccusdtalk] KEEP THE PRESSURE ON--BOARD MEETING TONIGHT
DEAR PARENT ACTIVISTS:
Despite whatever rumours you may have heard during baseball games and other
community events this past weekend, we are far from done advocating for our
children. At present, there is no indication that either class size reduction or
counselors are being reinstated.
I encourage everyone on this listserve and beyond to write a personal letter
to Fred Stewart, our superintendent, our 5 school board members, and our union
representatives reminding them that IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO PUT THE NEEDS OF
OUR CHILDREN AT THE FOREFRONT. Saving class size reduction and counselors
both fit into the district's educational vision, in addition to providing a safe
learning environment for our children and their teachers.
We do not know if any actions on the budget will be taken this evening.
However, even if an action is taken and a budget submitted, we MUST continue to
put pressure on all sides, even when school is over, to stay focused on KIDS
