Dear Wayland Voter,
June is when the Board of Selectmen traditionally makes important decisions about who represents us in town government. On Wednesday, June 5, selectmen will meet and interview candidates for appointment to the new advisory committee on Other Post Employment Benefits, which recently became a hot budget topic.
The selectmen's policy on reappointments is to invite those serving on the Personnel Board, Conservation Commission, Zoning Board and Finance Committee for interviews.
There are also unfilled seats on other boards and committees including Assessor, Wastewater, Community Preservation, Economic Development and Youth Advisory.
Here's the list of opportunities on the town website:
Residents interested in any of these positions should send a letter of interest and resume as soon as possible to the selectmen's office so an appointment interview can be arranged: selectmen@...
or 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778.
For more information, try contacting a selectman or a member of the board or committee that interests you, either via the town website
by attending a meeting.
