      WAYLAND LITTLE THEATER CONCERT

      For 47 years music lovers have attended free performances sponsored by the Wayland Little Theater Concert Series. Friday Dec. 2 will be the last concert in that theater. In 2012 the series moves to the new high school auditorium and a not-so-little theater.

      Friday Dec. 2, 8 p.m. Estonian pianist Hando Nahkur in a program of Liszt, Tubin and Bellini. Celebrate the bicentennial of Liszt's birth.

      HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE, GROUT-HEARD HOUSE MUSEUM

      Sunday Dec. 4, 2-5 p.m., 12 Cochituate Road (by the Library). Live music, rooms decorated in period holiday style, festive refreshments. Tea table and Christmas cookies. The Library, First Parish Church and Wayland Depot have scheduled holiday events the same day as part of the annual Wayland Center community celebration. See:

      24th ANNUAL CHILDREN'S HOLIDAY SHOPPE

      Wednesday Dec. 7, 2:30-5 p.m., Large Hearing Room, Town Building. The Council on Aging and the Wayland Senior Citizens Club are hosts of a craft and gift sale for children in grades K-5. Complimentary refreshments and "boutique shopping" for parents and caregivers. Proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations. Free gift wrapping too.

      WAYLAND DEPOT

      Find one-of-a-kind handmade gifts at The Wayland Depot across from the library. Proceeds benefit local charities. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
