-- Wayland's Sixth Annual Touch-A-Truck event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, has been canceled due to the predicted inclement weather.
-- The National Weather Service posted a flood watch for much of Massachusetts including all of MetroWest for Friday evening through Saturday evening. About 1-3 inches of rain should fall but some areas could see more. Urban and poor-drainage flooding would appear to be the main hazards at this point. There could also be small-stream flooding. More rain is expected Monday night through Thursday next week.
A flood watch means that flooding is possible based on current forecasts. Residents who live near areas prone to flooding should monitor later forecasts for flood warnings.
