Meetings and events:
-- Wednesday July 13, 7:30 p.m., Wastewater Management District Commission. Agenda includes threatened litigation and an Open Meeting Law complaint.
-- Thursday July 14, 7:50 p.m. Conservation Commission meeting on work on Reeves Hill water tanks. Public Works Director Don Ouellette proposes demolishing one of two tanks.
-- Saturday July 16, First Parish Church, 11 a.m. Memorial service for Lauren Astley, who was slain on July 4. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund whose mission is promoting educational programs, particularly concerning development of healthy teen relationships, the arts, and community service. Contributions may be mailed to Village Bank, 62 Boston Post Road, Wayland, MA 01778.
Attendees are asked to park at St. Ann's Parish, 124 Cochituate Road (Route. 27), Wayland. Continuous shuttle service will start at 9:45 a.m., from St. Ann's to First Parish Church. Limited parking will be available at the Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, and Trinitarian Congregational Church, 53 Cochituate Road. No parking at First Parish Church. Car pooling and arriving early are recommended.
Plans call for any overflow crowd to be accommodated at the Trinitarian Church across the street, including audio and possibly video links.
-- Monday July 18, Town Building, 7 p.m. Informational meeting about the Wayland Habitat housing project, the town's first involving Habitat for Humanity. Organizers seek volunteers interested in fund- raising and outreach to the community. Construction on the four-unit project is planned for spring 2012.
