WVN Alert: School proposal wins big

By a 70 percent to 30 percent margin voters approved plans Tuesday to build a new Wayland High School costing $71 million. State aid will cut the cost to local taxpayers to about $45 million plus interest.
The final count was 2602-1115. Voter turnout was 42 percent.
The final step to put the plan in motion comes Wednesday night at a special Town Meeting, when a two-thirds vote is required to authorize borrowing Wayland's share of the cost. For details see:
