      MEETING ON RAYTHEON CLEANUP

Raytheon will hold a public meeting tonight to discuss its
hazardous waste cleanup of the land designated for the
housing/shopping/office complex approved by Special Town
      meeting voters.

The public will have a chance to comment and ask questions.
The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the large hearing room at the
      town building.

Raytheon, the former owner of the land and building, will
present its plan for dealing with contaminants, a process that
could take years. Because of deed restrictions, the cleanup
could affect the timetable for the town center project.

WVN will report on the meeting.
