      Description: The route goes through the Ft. Vancouver National Historic
      Site & Vancouver’s Independence Day Celebration, and along Officers’
      Row. For a limited time, walkers will be able to enter the Independence
      Day Celebration grounds for free. Walkers must exit the festival grounds
      by 1:00 pm. Other buildings & sites important to Vancouver’s history &
      the history of the Northwest are along the 10 km route.
      Amenities: Strollers: medium | Wheelchairs: hard | Pets: Yes |
      Restrooms: Yes
      Special Classifications: Carnegie Libraries, Forts of the United States,
      Historic Churches, Honoring Law Enforcement, Museums, Veteran Memorials
      Start Times: Start 8:00 am to noon. Finish by 4:00 pm.
      Location: Fred Meyer at Grand Central Mall
      Start Point / Driving Directions: 2500 Columbia House Blvd.Vancouver,
      WAFrom I-5 North & Southbound, take exit 1A in Vancouver. You will be
      heading east on SR 14. Take exit 1 & go under the SR 14 underpass
      following signs to Ft. Vancouver Historic Site. At the traffic light at
      Grand Blvd., turn left into Grand Central Mall. Walk starts at Fred
      Meyer store. From I-205 North & Southbound, take exit 27 & head west on
      SR 14 toward Vancouver for 5 miles. Take exit 1. Left at traffic light
      on Columbia House Blvd. toward Ft. Vancouver Historic Site. At traffic
      light, turn right into Grand Central Mall.
      Awards & Fees: IVV Credit Only
      Comments: Water & restrooms are at the Start/Finish area. Pets are NOT
      permitted in Fred Meyer or the Independence Day Celebration. Walkers
      with pets and walkers starting too late to enter the Independence Day
      Celebration grounds will be provided an alternate route.

      Renton Memorial Stadium for parking. You will walk on the Cedar River
      Trail passing under the Logan Street Bridge to the start at the
      Riverside of the Senior Center.
