      Sunday, June 6, 2010 - A group walk will be held with registration from
      11:30 to noon. The walk will be held with the Vancouver USA
      Volkssporters and Weight Watchers as a part of their Walk – It
      Challenge. (please arrive early enough to sign in so the walk can begin
      at noon) (This is primarily a guided group walk, but all are welcome:
      fast walkers, slow walkers, and new walkers)

      Start: Red Lion Hotel at the Quay

      Vancouver, WA
      Fort Vancouver - Land Bridge Walk, 5/10 km - rated 1+ YR0138 (If you
      wish to do the 5K walk, please let Joe Titone know either beforehand or
      at the walk.) We are leading both the 5K and the 10K walks.
      Description: The walk route will be Vancouver’s Historic (Ft. Vancouver
      – Land Bridge) YRE 138 5km walk. The walk starts at the Red Lion Hotel
      at the Quay and goes a short distance along the Columbia River entering
      the Old Apple Tree Park before crossing the new Land Bridge. The route
      continues on a paved trail to Ft Vancouver. Leaving Ft. Vancouver the
      walk then passes by the Pearson Air Museum with Chkalov Monument before
      going to Officer’s Row. On Officer’s Row walkers will pass by the Ft
      Vancouver National Historic Site, Grant House, Marshall House, and OO
      Howard House before returning back over the Land Bridge to the Starting
      Point.
      A 10 km walk will also be offered. The walk is rated 1+ (easy).
