      The McChord AFB, WA volksmarch scheduled for 15 Sept. has been
      cancelled. Please help spread the word, as there were flyers
      distributed at the Snoqualmie walks last weekend.
      If your heart was set on coming to the McChord area on 15 Sept, then
      just drive a little farther south and do the YRE at Fort Lewis, exit
      120. As soon as you finish, check out the YRE at exit 119 in Dupont.
      We can keep you busy.

      through residential Bellevue and its park system including Weowna Park
      and the Lake to Lake Trail from within the sight of Lake Sammamish to
      the Mercer Slough. Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
      AWARD: "B" awards available. Credit only is $2.00. Free walkers are
      welcome but must register, carry, and return a start card.
      HATPIN: Club hatpin is $2.50.

      This is a one-way walk with buses and vans taking walkers from the South

      Route includes the Curran Apple Orchard, a cemetery, and school race
      track. Strollers and wheelchairs may have difficulty.
      AWARD: Credit only is $2.00. Free walkers are welcome but must register,
      carry, and return a start card.
      HATPIN: A cloisonné apple is $3.00.
      PRE-REGISTRATION: None.
      MISCELLANEOUS: Water and restrooms at start/finish. Pets are permitted

      Walkers cannot bring apples to orchard to squeeze. Bring a bag or
      container. Pick apples from orchard and squeeze them into cider.
      Donations are requested for maintenance of the orchard.
      The Apple Squeeze is held every year on a Sunday in September or October
      from 1-4 pm. Some of the activities may include the Master Gardener, the
      appearance of Johnny Appleseed, sale of Curran Apple Orchard Park
      t-shirts and sweatshirts, a display by the Audubon Society and a
      performance by a barber shop quartet.
