      Start Point Address: Pullman City Hall, 325 SE Paradise Street Pullman,
      WA. US 195 FROM NORTH: Take 1st Pullman exit (Hwy 270) to Grand Ave
      (bottom of hill). Cross Grand Ave and go 1 block to Kamiaken. Right on
      Kamiaken for 2 lights. City Hall is on left. Parking under building and
      on streets. US 195 FROM SOUTH: Take 1st Pullman exit (Hwy 27). Hwy 27
      becomes Grand Ave. Right at the stop light at Hwy 270 to Moscow (this is
      Paradise St.). City hall is 2 blocks on the right. Parking under
      building and on streets. FROM MOSCOW: Take Hwy 270 seven miles to
      Pullman. Turn left on Kamiaken 1 block to City Hall.
      Event Description: Walk through downtown, on city and campus paths and
      trails, and through parts of WSU campus.

      Oct 8-9 2005 “Rattlesnake Ledge” and "Fall Color Hike" North Bend, WA
      Start Location: Cedar River Watershed Education Center, North Bend, WA
      Start time: Saturday & Sunday 8am-1pm
      Finish time: Sat 4pm; Sun 3pm
      Distance: 2 10km (6.2 miles) walks. 5K option available.
      Washington State Challenge: King County; Nature - Trails/Mountains
      Walk #1 (4): The Rattlesnake Ledge trail is a hike on well-maintained
      forest trails from Rattlesnake Lake up a steep climb to the Rattlesnake
      Ledge Trail, which is then gently rolling.
      Walk #2 (2): The second route is a flatter, easier walk through a
      lovely forested area near Rattlesnake Lake and on an old railroad bed.
      This walk will go on a portion of the Iron Horse Trail not used in the
      local YRE.
      Awards & Fees: A 100% embroidered multicolored patch in our traditional
      club diamond shape. Cost and design of patch to be determined. Credit
      only is $3.00. Free participants are welcome but all must register,
      carry and return a start card.
      Miscellaneous: Indoor start location. Restrooms available at the
      start/finish and in the park at Rattlesnake Lake. Water at the
      start/finish. Carry your own water on the trail. Pets are allowed but
      owners must obey leash and scoop laws. Not suitable for wheelchairs or
      strollers. THE ESVA MEETING WILL BE HOSTED HERE THIS WEEKEND.

      Ferry walk-on passengers: Start at the Kingston Ferry Terminal

      New Balance welcomes everyone to join us in a 10 or 5 km walk.

      Offering TWO Choices for Start Points: (directions are at the bottom)
      If you plan to park & walk: Bayside Community Church, 25992 Barber
      Cutoff Road, Kingston, WA
      If you plan to park in Edmonds & walk across on the Kingston-Edmonds
      ferry run: Kingston Ferry Terminal
      START TIME: 8:00am - 1:00 pm
      FINISH TIME: 4:00 pm
      TRAIL: 5 and 10 Km: Rated 3. Walk through residential areas, parks and
      wooded trails in Kingston. Enjoy views of Kingston and Puget Sound
      along the walk. There will be a 5K from both start points.
      Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs (except the 5K from Bayside
      Church). Pets permitted on leash.
      AWARD: Credit only is $3.00. Free walkers are welcome but must
      register, carry, and return a start card. National Volkssport Month
      patches will be available for $3.00 while supplies last. “B” awards
      will be available for sale.
      MISCELLANEOUS: Water will be available at the Start/Finish. Restrooms
      are available at the Kingston Marina on all routes and at Arness Park.

      VOLKSSPORT: “Sport of the People,” is an adventure in health,
      recreation, fellowship and fun. It provides recreation and fitness
      opportunities to people of all ages and abilities. This event enables
      you to earn recognition while participating in a non-competitive sport.
      Our marked course is a great family activity. The volkssporting
      philosophy recognizes that every participant in this event is a winner
      and eligible for credit and an award.
      PROCEDURES: There will be direction signs at both start points.
      Participants must register and obtain a start card. Carry a start card,
      (one for each participant including infants) during this event and show
      it at checkpoint(s) along the route for verification. Participants
      missing checkpoint(s) may be refused the award or credit (according to
      IVV rules). All cards are the property of the sponsors and must be
      returned at the completion of this event.
      NEW WALKER PACKETS: The American Volkssport Association offers new
      participants and/or Volkssporters not active in IVV’s award program, a
      packet with an event and distance book and three coupons for credit at
      AVA sanctioned events. This $19.00 value costs only $5.00 and will be
      available at the registration desk. Packets are a one-time purchase, and
      not available to Volkssporters active in the IVV awards program.
      FREE PARTICIPANTS: Participation in most IVV/AVA Sanctioned
      Volkssporting Events is free to all participants. However, everyone,
      including children, must register, carry and return a start card upon
      completion of the event.
      WAIVER: The sponsors are not liable for accidents, thefts, and/or
      material damage. Every effort will be made to make this event safe,
      enjoyable, and memorable. PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN A WAIVER FORM FOR THIS

      DIRECTIONS to Barber Community Church:
      Driving through Kitsap County:
      * Kingston is on SR 104. From the south take SR 3 in the direction of
      Hood Canal Bridge. Exit at Poulsbo, and take a left at the second light
      after turning onto SR 305. This is Bond Road, SR 307 (becomes SR 104).
      Kingston is about 8.7 miles from this intersection. At the first
      light as you approach Kingston, Lindvog Road, turn right and take the
      next right on West Kingston Road. As West Kingston curves left,
      continue straight ahead and turn into Bayside Community Church on the right.
      * From the west, turn left on SR 104 as you leave the Hood Canal Bridge
      and follow it to the junction with Bond Road. Turn left and proceed as
      above on SR 104.
      Taking the WA State Ferry from Edmonds to Kingston:
      As you walk off the ferry follow the signs on your left to the
      start/finish. By car, drive off and turn left at the 3rd light (Lindvog
      Road). Turn right at West Kingston Road. As West Kingston curves left,
      continue straight ahead and turn into Bayside Community Church on the
      right.<o:p></o:p>

      start point.
      Event Description: Trail (1+) on paved and gravel pathways through
      Mirabeau Park and along the Spokane River.

      TRAIL: Rated 1. The Mary E. Theler Wetlands is located on the "toe" of
      Hood Canal. Many different plant species, insects and birds. Walk on
      crushed rock and boardwalks. Ok for strollers. Not suitable for
      wheelchairs.
      AWARDS: B" awards available. IVV Credit only is $3.00. Free
      participants are welcome but must register and carry a start card.
      T-SHIRTS: Look for the club members wearing Great Blue Heron t-shirts

      Coming from the West (via I-90)
      From I-5 take I-90 East to Exit 22 (Preston/Fall City exit). 4 miles.
      Cross bridge and turn LEFT to SR203 (5 miles) to NE32nd . RIGHT on NE
      32nd. Continue as above.
