      Sunday March 6: Volunteer training: 12:30 pm, VA Medical Center NSCU
      Bldg. D8, room A104, 1601 Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA light lunch
      Directions to the VA Medical Center, Vancouver Campus:
      From I-5 northbound or southbound take Fourth Plain exit 1-D. If
      southbound, turn left (east) on Fourth Plain, if northbound turn right
      (east) on Fourth Plain to the stop light at St. Johns/VA Medical Center.
      Turn right into VA Medical Center. At the first intersection, turn left.
      Turn right at the second driveway to the right and park in the big
      parking lot. Follow the pink arrows to the training session.
      For Sunday, March 6: The training and light lunch will be in the
      Nursing Skilled Care Unit (NSCU), Building D8, room A106. From the big
      parking lot, find the stairs and go down the stairs to NSCU Building D8
      and enter through the main doors. Turn right and the conference room
      A106 is immediately on your right.

      The City of DuPont and Quadrant Homes
      LOCATION: DuPont City Hall, DuPont, WA.
      START TIME: 8:AM - 1:00PM
      DISTANCE: 10K (6.2 Miles) Walk, 05K (3.1 Miles) Walk, 15K (9
      miles) Bike, 25K (15.5 miles) Bike
      TRAILS: The City Walk 682813 will take you through the city and
      surrounding woods. This event is suitable for strollers and the shorter
      5km trail would be suitable for wheelchairs.
      The Country Walk 682824 is on sidewalks and groomed trails surrounding
      the city. It is suitable for strollers but not for wheelchairs. Water
      and restrooms will be at the start/finish and the checkpoints. Pets are
      permitted but NOT in building(s). Owners are responsible for complying
      with leash and clean-up laws.
      Miscellaneous: Distance: Both the City Walk and the Country Walk are
      10km. The City Walk has a 5km shorter route available. Both routes are
      rated 1 (5 point scale with 5 being the most difficult).
      The 5k trail is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.

      IVV (Volkssport) Credit: Cost for IVV incentive award credit is $3.00.
      Free bikers are welcome but are asked to register, carry and return a
      "start" (registration) card for club liability insurance purposes.

      is $2.00, quarters only until
      12:00 p.m. Parking is free after noon.
      Hours The Start Table will be open at 9:00am to 1:00pm. Finish Table
      will be open until 4:00pm. All participants must be off the trails not
      later than 4:00 p.m.
      Route 10k and 5k
      Walk on sidewalks and gravel trails through city streets, the University
      of Washington perimeter, Burke-Gilman Trail, the Washington Park
      Arboretum, Marsh and Foster Islands. Not suitable for wheelchairs or
      small strollers although "jog buggies" may be able to handle the paths.
      Some steps involved.
      Award A 100% embroidered full color patch depicting the U of W
      Arboretum Park Lookout designed by Dorman Batson. $8.00. 50 available
      no reorders.
      Credit only is $3.00. Free participants are welcome but must register,
      carry and return a start card.
      Hatpin Seasonal pin for this walk $3.00. Pins from earlier walks are
      also available.

      Miscellaneous Water and Restrooms are available and along the route and
      at the Visitor Center at the Arboretum. Pets are permitted, but except

      Water will be available at start/finish and control points.
      Metro Take bus 25, 74 or any one of the other METRO buses that stop on
      NE 45th St and Mary Gates Blvd.

      I-5 Northbound and Southbound. Take the SR 520/Bellevue exit, take the
      Montlake Blvd. exit, turn left onto Montlake Blvd., staying right on
      Montlake Blvd. About one mile to Mary Gates Blvd. Turn right and follow
      signs to parking lot.
      From West SR 520: Stay in right lane and take the Montlake Blvd/UofW
      exit. Turn RIGHT on Montlake Blvd. staying right and continue about one
      mile to Mary Gates Blvd., turn right and follow signs to parking lot.

      Start Point Address: Near Corner of Market Street and Central Way
      Directions: I-405 Exit 18 to Kirkland. Head downhill (West) on NE 85th
      St. (Becomes Central Way). Continue on Central Way to Market St. Left to
      Marina Park and start Point. Parking available at Marina Park and along
      Event Description: Historical buildings, sites and history. Six parks,
      landscaped flower beds, marinas, shops and restaurants. Walk on
      sidewalks along Lake Washington passing civic buildings through downtown
      Kirkland area and with views of Seattle, Lake Washington and the Olympic
      Mountains. 5 km suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. 10 km NOT
      suitabel for wheelchairs.
      Start Times: Start from 09:00 am to 12:00 Noon. Finish by 3:00
      Awards and Fees: Credit $3.00. Free Centennial pins. Some older awards.
      Walkers may walk free.
      Comments: This is the Kirkland 100 Year Centennial. Walk will highlight
      historical places and provide historical data.
