      START/FINISH: YMCA Fitness Center, 11324 NE 51st Circle, Vancouver,
      Washington.
      TIMES: Start any time between 8am and 1pm; Finish by 4pm.
      DISTANCE and RATING: 10km (6.2 miles), Rated 1. Shorter distance is
      available.
      TRAIL DESCRIPTION: Walk on sidewalks, pathways, and side streets
      through the small unincorporated town of Orchards, established in
      1895. Stroll through downtown past local businesses, restaurants,
      shops, two parks, and a mural of the local feed mill and the feed
      mill itself.
      HATPIN: Prior events hatpins will be available.
      FEES: AVA Credit Only is $3. No refunds. Non-credit walkers are
      welcome to participate at no charge. All must register, carry, and
      return a start card.
      COMFORT: Water at the start/finish and checkpoint. Restrooms
      available at start/finish and along the route. Pets are permitted but
      not in buildings. Owners are responsible for leash and clean-up laws.
      ELIGIBILITY: This event is sanctioned by the American Volkssport
      Association, part of the International Federation of Popular Sports
      (IVV), and counts toward the acquisition of IVV achievement awards.
      Everyone is welcome to participate. Children under 12 years of age
      must be accompanied by an adult.
      NEW WALKERS: This event is part of the AVA Achievement Awards
      Program. Participants can earn event and/or distance credits, then
      redeem completed books for a certificate, patch, and hatpin after
      certain milestones are achieved. Special New Walker Packets,
      including discount coupons at a bargain price, will be available at
      the registration table.
      DISCLAIMER: Although every effort will be made to make this a safe
      and enjoyable event, the sponsors are not liable for accidents,
      injuries, thefts and other material damages. By registering for this
      event, each participant agrees to accept the guidelines for
      Volkssport events published by the American Volkssport Association
      (AVA) and to observe the principles of good sportsmanship. This event
      will be held regardless of weather; adverse weather may increase the
      rating.
      DIRECTIONS: I-5: Exit to I-205. Exit # 30 - SR500 East/Orchards.
      At 112th Ave (first signal), turn RIGHT. At 51st St. (first signal),
      turn LEFT to NE 51st Circle. LEFT into YMCA parking lot straight
      ahead to start/finish.

      XC SKI/TOWN 10K WALK
      Rating: XC Ski Trail/Town Walk is rated 2. You will walk along the XC
      ski trail and along country roads with views of the mountains &
      valley and then down through town. There are many wild flowers along
      the trail, so enjoy. 5k walk available.
      SANCTION NO: NW03/018
      TUMWATER MOUNTAIN 10K WALK
      Rating: Tumwater Mt. 4+ walk: You'll walk along country road with
      views of new homes and then up the mountain. This is a dirt road with
      views of the valley and many wild flowers to enjoy. 5k walk available.
      START POINT and START TIME
      Start: Ski Hill Parking lot, Leavenworth, WA
      Time: 7:30 a.m. - 1 p.m: Finish 4 p.m.
      DIRECTIONS
      From Seattle: I-5 North to Everett, Hwy 2 to Leavenworth, WA. Turn
      left at Ski Hill Dr. Follow volkssport signs to ski hill parking lot.
      From east: Spokane, Hwy 2 through Waterville, E. Wenatchee to
      Leavenworth. Go through 2 traffic lights, turn right onto Ski Hill
      Dr. Follow signs.
      AWARDS
      Credit only $3.00, free walkers are welcome but must register, carry
      and return a start card. 'B' awards for $3.00 & $5.50 (Grant, Douglas
      & Okanogan county patches) and 'B' hatpins available.
      Special Pin $4.00
      NO PRE-REGISTRATION
      MISCELLANEOUS
      There's water and restrooms available at start/finish and water at
      checkpoint. Pets are permitted, but owners are responsible for leash
      laws. Not suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. Come and walk our

      visit the Bavarian town of Leavenworth.
