      to the Ice Ages - an exciting walk through the Dry Falls are of the
      Sun Lakes State Park near coulee City, WA. You will see te remains
      of the Largest Waterfall on Earth.

      The Spokane Valley of the sun club will be serving their famous German
      Sausages, sauerkraut, and soft drinks at the start-finish.
      Trail: You will walk on trails and roads to the base of Dry Falls,
      which at one time, were the largest waterfalls on the earth. The
      trail will pass by lakes, springs, and rock formations formed by the
      Ice Ages. The trail is not recommended for strollers and
      wheelchairs. (There is alternate trail for them.)

      Directions: Eastbound on Interstate #90, take exit #151 north on HWY
      #283, which turns into HWY #28. Go through Ephrata to soap Lake.
      Turn north on HWY #17 to sun Lakes State Park entrance. Follow the
      volkssport signs to start.

      University of Washington's Annual Easter Walk in the Park

      Start/Finish Location: University of Washington Parking Lot - E-5
      Hours 9:00am to 1:00pm. Finish Table will be open until 4:00pm.
      Route Walk on sidewalks and gravel trails through the U of W grounds,
      Marsh and Foster Islands, the Arboretum and city streets. Not suitable
      for wheelchairs or small strollers although, "jog buggies" may be able
      to handle the paths.
      Award: "A" award is an embroidered patch featuring a picture of the
      Old Gate House at the south entrance to the Arboretum. $8.00 includes
      credit. Credit only is $3.00. Free participants are welcome but must
      register, carry and return a start card.
      Hatpin Seasonal pin for this walk, $3.00. Pins from earlier walks
      also available.
      Pre-Registration: Must be postmarked by April 12, 2003. Make checks
      payable to "Emerald City Wanders" or "ECW" and mail to ECW, c/o Dave

      New Walker Packets: Those new to volkssports should inquire about the
      AVA's special awards program discount.
      From I-5: Northbound and Southbound: Exit at 45th Street/University of
      Washington. Northbound turn RIGHT/Southbound turn LEFT onto 45th St.
      Continue to bottom of the hill and turn LEFT onto Montlake Blvd. Go to
      next traffic light and turn RIGHT on Mary Gates Drive. Go about 200
      yards and turn RIGHT on Clark Road. Follow parking signs to Area E-5.
      (From SR520) Stay in right lane and take the Montlake Blvd/UofW exit.
      Eastbound; Turn LEFT on Montlake Blvd/Westbound (trans lake) turn
      RIGHT on Montlake Blvd. Veer RIGHT past the parking lots to Mary Clark
      Dr. and turn RIGHT. Go about 200 yards and turn RIGHT on Clark Road.
      Follow parking signs to Area E-5.

      04/18/03 - 04/20/03 6th Annual Victoria International Walking
      Festival, Victoria, BC, Canada. Victoria International Walking
      Festival is a weekend of walking-related activities which include the
      6th Annual Blossom Walks, International Friendship Walk, International
      Walkers Dinner, Walk EXPO, Walking Seminars, Blister Party, Live
      Entertainment and plenty of food and refreshments.
      All walks start and finish at the Victoria Curling Club,
      1952 Quadra Street, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
      Start the weekend off by attending one or all of the Walk Seminars
      on Friday afternoon. After the Seminars, plan to participate in the
      International Friendship Walk.
      You can hit the trails anytime between 4:00 and 5:00 pm however it
      is recommended that you start closer to 4:00 pm so that you may be
      back at the Curling Club by 6:30 pm for the Opening Ceremonies.
      All participants in the International Friendship Walk will receive a
      commemorative certificate.
      5 km & 10 Km - (Fri, Sat & Sun)
      21 Km Half-Marathons (Sat & Sun)
      42 Km Marathon & 52 Km Ultra-Marathon (Sat Only)
      Blossom Walks is a series of non-competitive walking events offering a
      variety of trail distances for walkers of all abilities. Participants
      are free to walk at their own pace whether that pace is very slow,
      very fast and or somewhere in between.
      Choose from 10 different Blossom Walks trails ranging from 5, 10, 21,
      42 and 52 km that will take you through dozens of beautiful parks,
      along miles of spectacular waterfront walkways and through many
      picturesque neighbourhoods.
      The relatively easy 5 and 10 Km trails are ideal for the recreational
      walker. Serious walkers may enjoy the 21 Km Half-Marathon, 42 Km
      Marathon or the NEW 52 Km Ultra-Marathon.
      All the Blossom Walks trails are well-marked so that you may
      concentrate on enjoying the beauty of Victoria.
      Dogs are permitted on the trails but for the safety and enjoyment of
      all participants, they must be kept on a leash.
      Please note that the Blossom Walks trail system for 2003 has been
      revised and improved for your walking pleasure. In fact, the Saturday
      trails go off into a totally different area of Victoria that has not
      been used during previous Blossom Walks events. You can therefore
      expect to see some of the same beautiful scenery as in previous years
      plus some different and equally beautiful areas of Victoria during the
      course of Blossom Walks 2003 weekend.
      All walks are sanctioned by:
      International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV) and are eligible for
      credit towards the IVV Individual Achievement Awards program.

      Mayor's Walk: 4 pm Opening Ceremony and Send-off by Mayor at Esther

      Choose your distance - Marathon 42K, 20K, 11K or 6K, start times same
      as Saturday. Through western Vancouver. Closing Ceremonies at 4 pm.
      Awards: Friday walkers earn a Mayor's Walk keychain award. Saturday
      and Sunday Walks: all receive the Discovery Walk award, a medal or pin
      depending on years walked. Marathon finishers also receive a patch.
      Bike receives an pin award. Swim receives IVV credit. Receive a
      special Try-Athlon patch if you walk, swim & bike. Enter as a Team of
      10 or more to earn a team banner.
      Registration: Walk registration fee includes awards/certificates, IVV
      Credit and IML Credit. International Marching League credit is earned
      by completing at least 20K each day on Saturday and Sunday.
      Registration not refundable. Pre-register by mail or online or at the
      event. All pre-registrations Must be postmarked by April 10, 2003.
      You can register at the event Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
