      Discovery Walk Festival Workers Walks and Workers Training
      March 8-9, start 8-10am, Red Lion Hotel at the Quay to walk any of the
      routes. Carry own water, etc. You must sign up as a volunteer for
      the Discovery Walk Festival, April 25-27 to do the workers walks.

      Directions: Take I-5 exit 119 and go to DuPont City Hall (0.3 miles

      About our Bike Events
      Times: Start any time between 8am and 1pm. Finish the route by 4pm.
      Distance: 15k (9 miles) and 25 km (15.5 miles)
      Route: Ride on city streets and marked bike lanes. The route is
      level with little traffic. Rated 1 (5 point scale with 5 being the
      most difficult)
      IVV (Volkssport) Credit: Cost for IVV incentive award credit is
      $3.00. Free bikers are welcome but are asked to register, carry and
      return a "start" (registration) card for club liability insurance
      purposes.
      About Our Walk Events
      Times: start any time between 8am and 1pm. Finish the route by 4pm.
      Distance: Both the City Walk and the Country Walk are 10km. The City
      Walk has a 5km shorter route available. Both routes are rated 1 (5
      point scale with 5 being the most difficult).
      The City Walk will take you through the city and surrounding woods.
      This event is suitable for strollers and the shorter 5km trail would
      be suitable for wheelchairs.
      The Country Walk is on sidewalks and groomed trails surrounding the
      city. It is suitable for strollers but not for wheelchairs.
      IVV (Volkssport) Credit: Cost for IVV incentive award credit is
      $3.00. Free walkers are welcome but are asked to register, carry and
      return a "start" (registration) card for club liability insurance
      purposes.
      Local community groups provide refreshments throughout the day for
      sale such as morning coffee and muffins and hot dogs and sodas.
      Miscellaneous Information: Water and restrooms will be at the
      start/finish and the checkpoints. Pets are permitted but NOT in
      building(s). Owners are responsible for complying with leash and
      clean-up laws.
      Additional Volkssporting opportunities: There is a Year 'round walk
      and bike route available. Check out the Over The Hill Gang's web page

      This is a benefit walk and all walkers pay a $15 fee to participate,
      pre-registered, $20 day of event. Optional IVV volkssport credit an
      additional $3 (payable at the walk). T-shirt may be purchased for
      $12. Raffle for prizes after the walk.
      Trail
      5k/10k (3 mile/6 mile) walk rated easy 1+ The 5k route tours along
      the Columbia River starting near the Water Resources Education Center
      and winds its way east to Wintler Park and back. The 10k route tours
      along the Columbia River starting near the Water Resources Education
      Center heading west to Esther Short Park and back. Strollers &
      wheelchairs OK. Pets allowed on leash.

      We are planning on having a few information booths with breast cancer
      info as well as alternative treatment options.
      Directions: Directions: I-5 SOUTH BOUND: Take the Mill Plain exit and
      turn right to enter Mill Plain (15th St.) westbound. Turn left onto
      Columbia Street. Proceed south on Columbia Street for about a mile.
      I-5 NORTH BOUND: Take Exit 1B "CITY CENTER". Loop around and merge
      into the left lane. Turn left at the 6th Street exit. Go three blocks
      to Esther Short Park.

      to the Ice Ages - an exciting walk through the Dry Falls are of the
      Sun Lakes State Park near coulee City, WA. You will see te remains
      of the Largest Waterfall on Earth.

      The Spokane Valley of the sun club will be serving their famous German
      Sausages, sauerkraut, and soft drinks at the start-finish.
      Trail: You will walk on trails and roads to the base of Dry Falls,
      which at one time, were the largest waterfalls on the earth. The
      trail will pass by lakes, springs, and rock formations formed by the
      Ice Ages. The trail is not recommended for strollers and
      wheelchairs. (There is alternate trail for them.)
      Don't Forget Your Camera!
      Directions: Eastbound on Interstate #90, take exit #151 north on HWY
      #283, which turns into HWY #28. Go through Ephrata to soap Lake.
      Turn north on HWY #17 to sun Lakes State Park entrance. Follow the
      volkssport signs to start.

      Hours 9:00am to 1:00pm. Finish Table will be open until 4:00pm.
      Route Walk on sidewalks and gravel trails through the U of W grounds,
      Marsh and Foster Islands, the Arboretum and city streets. Not suitable
      for wheelchairs or small strollers although, "jog buggies" may be able
      to handle the paths.
      Award: "A" award is an embroidered patch featuring a picture of the
      Old Gate House at the south entrance to the Arboretum. $8.00 includes
      credit. Credit only is $3.00. Free participants are welcome but must
      register, carry and return a start card.
      Hatpin Seasonal pin for this walk, $3.00. Pins from earlier walks
      also available.

      Credit and IML Credit. International Marching League credit is earned
