      Description: Walk on sidewalks, road shoulders to the new Pt. Ruston
      area and a portion of Pt. Defiance Park, along Tacoma’s Waterfront. The
      trail then heads back through residential areas to the start/finish.
      There is a fairly steep downgrade at the start of the walk, then a slow
      upgrade. Some sidewalks are broken and uneven, use caution

      Start Point / Driving Directions: 4741 N Baltimore St.Tacoma, WA
      DIRECTIONS: I-5: Exit #132 (Bremerton, Gig Harbor, SR-16). Take Exit #3
      (Pt. Defiance, Ruston, WA 163). Get in center lane before end of off
      ramp. Continue through the 1st light (6th Ave), move to right lane. The
      road curves left. At the next light, Pearl St, turn RIGHT. Follow Pearl
      to N 46th St. Turn RIGHT on N 46th and follow it a few blocks to N.
      Baltimore St. Turn LEFT onto Baltimore St and the VFW Hall is a block on
      the right. Street parking.
      Awards & Fees: IVV Credit Only
      Comments: AWARD: Credit only is $3.00. Free participants are welcome but
      all must register, carry, and return a start card.
      PRE-REGISTRATION: None.
      MISCELLANEOUS: Water and restrooms at start/finish and along the trail.
      Water at checkpoint. Pets permitted but NOT in building(s). Owners
      responsible for leash and clean up laws.
      Evergreen Wanders will host the ESVA State Meeting at this location,
      starting at 1 pm. Free lunch will be provided to officers and club reps.

      up the hill and Cross Park Dr to the Start Point (Picnic Shelter)
      Minimal parking at the start point. More parking available on the street
      and down the hill in the park.

      Comments: This is a guided walk. Please arrive during the start window
      to register. Water and restrooms at start/finish and along the route.

      St. Right on E, Gilkey to S. Skagit St. Turn right into the Park.

      above.
