The trail is 10km with a 5km option. Both trails view holiday lights and
decorations through Historical Kensington, along Howard Ave's Antique Row &
at the Mormon Temple Visitors' Center. Trails are on sidewalks and paved
roadway shoulders. Suitable for strollers but
may encounter difficulty. Parking: Limited parking in Safeway garage,
additional parking at Town Hall and along streets.

Safeway, Customer Service, 10541 Connecticut Ave, Kensington, MD 20895;
301-945-4273. Store Hours: Daily, Monday thru Sunday, 5am to Midnight. Walk
box located at Customer Service Desk. We recommend walking with a group
during evening hours and carrying a flashlight.
DIRECTIONS TO START POINT
Take Washington Capital Beltway (I-495) to Exit 33 (MD-185N), Conn Ave
Go about 1.8 miles on Conn Ave to turn RIGHT onto Knowles Ave at traffic
Go to stop sign at Knowles & Armory Avenues and
Turn LEFT onto Armory & then make an immediate LEFT into Safeway garage
(limited parking available).
OR turn RIGHT onto Armory Ave; go about a block to Mitchell St.
Turn LEFT onto Mitchell and then
Turn RIGHT into Public Parking area at Kensington Town Hall.
Street parking in residential area & Antique Row also available.

Conditions: We suggest you walk with a group during evening hours but trail
can be walked alone during the day. Restrooms are available in Safeway and
the Mormon Temple Visitor's Center. Pets are allowed, but must be leashed at
all times during the walk. You must clean up after them. Pets are not
allowed in the shops or in the Temple's Visitor's Center. This seasonal
event will be held regardless of the weather, unless conditions cause the
sponsors to close the trails for safety reasons.
