Hiking Bayview Hill on June 17th
- Just a reminder and an invitation to anyone who'd like to walk at a toddler's pace---easy, free, fun hike on Bayview Hill, a beautiful hill with views, historic staircases, and rare native plants like Islais cherry. Bayview Hill is fairly untrodden compared to other SF parks, and will be a first time treat for many people. This hike in particular is geared for people with little kids, but all ages and friendly people welcome.
Sunday, June 17th. Meet between 9:30-10:00 am at the end of Key Avenue, where there is a gate and a fire road. Hike starts promptly at 10:15. About a mile and a half roundtrip. Steep hill to begin with, but flat thereafter. Strollers are fine---we'll be on a wide fire road the whole way. Picnic somewhere along the way; please bring something to share with foraging kids. Back to Key Avenue by 12:30, I suspect.
Did I mention free? Did I mention fun? Yeah, check it out!
