      Patch 7.3.755
Problem: Autoconf doesn't find Python 3 if it's called "python".
Solution: Search for "python2" and "python3" first, then "python".

This patch seems to break enabling the python2 interpreter for me.

When I was on patch 754, vim --version | grep python printed out
+python with the following config options used:
        ./configure \
        --prefix=/usr \
        --localstatedir=/var/lib/vim \
        --with-features=big \
        --with-compiledby=ArchLinux \
        --enable-gpm \
        --enable-acl \
        --with-x=yes \
        --enable-gui=gtk2 \
        --enable-multibyte \
        --enable-cscope \
        --enable-netbeans \
        --enable-perlinterp \
        --enable-pythoninterp \
        --disable-python3interp \
        --enable-rubyinterp \
        --enable-luainterp

With patch 755, the same options don't work.
vim --version | grep python prints out -python
I initially tried patch 798 but bisected the problem to patch 755.

I am on archlinux and python2 is the only relevant executable.
There is no python or python3 binary.

In addition to this, during the configure step, there seem to be the
          following relevant lines:

          checking --enable-pythoninterp argument... yes
          checking for python22... no
          checking for python... no

so it seems it is checking for python22 and not python2..

          Hope this helps!

            Nevermind, I figured it out.

There was a workaround archlinux was using which is no longer relevant:

            69 sed -i -e 's|vi_cv_path_python, python|vi_cv_path_python, python2|' \
            70 vim-build/src/configure.in

            Now everything works :)
