      i've just noticed a bug in java.vim:
      backslashed double quotes in a string literal:

      System.out.println("\"");
      ^^^ these characters in red

      System.out.println("aaa\"bbb\"ccc");
      ^ just this character in red

      could someone (claudio?) look into this?
      i don't know enough about syntax files :(

        at the top of each syntax file you can find the maintainer and a URL for
        updated syntax files .. at the top of the java.vim syntax file is this URL

        http://www.fleiner.com/vim/syntax/java.vim

        it has the fix to your problem (and some others)
