Is the ":cs add" command able to take a variable as a parameter?

This does not make any connection:
      :let f = "~/cscopefile"
      :cs add f
      And this does not either:
      :let f = "~/cscopefile"
      :cs add expand(f)
      And this does not either:
      :cs add "~/cscopefile"
      Of course, this one DOES:
      :cs add ~/cscopefile

Is this type of thing supported by this command? If not, would
      it be simple to implement?

      Thanks, Paul

It does seem like it _ought_ to work that way. Perhaps you should
        mention it on vim-dev.

There may be a better way, but for now this should work for you:

        :let f = "~/cscopefile"
        :exec "cs add" f
