      May I suggest that you look at

      http://www.erols.com/astronaut/vim/index.html#VimFuncs

      and click on "Visual Commands". You'll get a file called
      <vis.vim>. In your <.vimrc>:

      so vis.vim

      Then when you highlight a bunch of lines, type "B" or "C"
      (read <vis.vim> itself for more) and then !yourfilter.
