      You could use Tim Pope's Abolish plugin:
      <http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=1545>:

      :%Subvert/{“,”,‘,’,–,—,…}/{\",\",',',--,---,...}/g

      or short (with a capital "S", not "s"):

      :%S/{“,”,‘,’,–,—,…}/{\",\",',',--,---,...}/g
