      Yes, zsh has decent vim bindings. Advanced things like *-into (ci, di, yi) aren t there but *-until (ct, dt, yt) and F/f are so it s just a few more key

        Yes, zsh has decent vim bindings. Advanced things like *-into (ci, di, yi) aren't there but *-until (ct, dt, yt) and F/f are so it's just a few more key strokes.

        Also, it's not hard to yank your current command into vim (good for saving and eval $(cat <file>) reuse stuff).
