      Knowing this, I don't need the function any more.

      It's enough to modify the 2 lines
      from
      <code>
      let bracepos = match(line, '[(){}\[\]]', ...
      </code>
      to
      <code>
      let bracepos = match(line, '[(){}[\]]', ...
      </code>
      (Remove the first backslash.)

      Now it works perfectly.
