      An alternative to upgrading is using gvim instead of vim, if gvim is
      installed on your system, by either linking, e.g.,

      $ ln -s $(which gvim) ~/bin/vim

      or using an alias, e.g.,

      $ alias vim='gvim -v'

      Regards,
