      #ifdef MACOS_CLASSIC

      The #ifdef USE_UNIXFILENAME within #ifndef USE_UNIXFILENAME come
      from the first version of USE_UNIXFILENAME which I wrote prior to my
      discovery
      of FSRefMakePath which is only available in MacOS X.
