      hello to all :)

it's two hours i'm digging on google trying to find why i'm too stupid
to get this working...so...i had to post here :/

the fact is that i can't find a way to get menu/messages translated in
my own language, even if i *think* i satisfies all prerequisites. in
      details:

      1. i downloaded the 'lang' file on vim home; it untarred in a /src
subdirectory, where i can find all the familiar po files (including
      italian).

      2. locale is properly set. this is my :lang output:
      Current language: "it_IT.UTF-8/it_IT.UTF-8/it_IT.UTF-8/C/it_IT.UTF-8/
      it_IT.UTF-8"

3, i compiped vim with-lang and with gettext. here is my --version:

      VIM - Vi IMproved 7.2 (2008 Aug 9, compiled Sep 17 2008 00:46:56)
