      code.google.com/p/macvim/ ). If you do, I'd recommend removing the
      'set gfn=...' line from your .vimrc as it comes with a nice default
      font. Perhaps you also like to take a look at `colorscheme macvim`.

      This is not what you should do: If you install a new version of vim,
      these changes will be gone. You should (as http://www.3plus4.de/
      scala/ suggests) create a directory .vim in your home folder and then
      create the subfolders indent, syntax and ftdetect. Copy the scripts
      into those folders.

      Remove the scripts from where you've put them now.

      If you did this correctly, files with the extension .scala should be
      syntax-highlighted. If not, but writing `:setf scala` does the job,
      the ftdetect script is not installed correctly -- ask again in that
