      Hello,
I would like to use vim in a terminal because it is more handy to use
and is included in the MAC environment (for cutting and pasting for
      exemple).
It works but I can not :
-use "fn"+up or down to move screan by screan
-put my cursor where I would like to with my mouse

I was using vim 6.2 in the xterm of X11 until now with a .vimrc that
was in my home. Then I download the .tar of vim.7.0 that I have copied
      in th .Applications folder.
I've put an alias vi='/Applications/Vim.app/Contents/MacOS/vim' in
      the .profile of my home.

It seems that my vim use the .vimrc in my home because of what is
      displayed when I write :version:
      ##########
      "
" To use it, copy it to
      " for Unix and OS/2: ~/.vimrc
      " for Amiga: s:.vimrc
      " for MS-DOS and Win32: $VIM\_vimrc
      " for OpenVMS: sys$login:.vimrc

" When started as "evim", evim.vim will already have done these
      settings.
      if v:progname =~? "evim"
      finish
      endif

" Use Vim settings, rather then Vi settings (much better!).
" This must be first, because it changes other options as a side
      effect.
      set nocompatible

" allow backspacing over everything in insert mode
      set backspace=indent,eol,start
